Former President Jacob Zuma involved in a car crash.

As Easter claims continue to claim lives on the road, Former South African President Jacob Zuma who is now the president of Umkhonto we Sizwe political (MK) party survived a car accident believed to have been caused by a drunk driver.


According to the South Africa Police service (SAPS) the drunk driver has been detained following the charges of reckless and negligent driving and the suspect is yet to appear in court on the 2nd of April 2024. The 51-year-old driver crashed into 81-year-old Zuma's state vehicle.


According to Nhlamula Ndlela, MK spoke person, the car the crashed into Zuma's car targeted him directly and the Ministor of police, Bheki Cele should be questioned after his statement of 'Zuma must be buried' and that he is responsible for the president's mortgage and security detail, claiming that Cele is serving the South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa's interest.


Zuma and his bodyguards did not sustain any injuries during the crash.
