Easter holiday claims 45 lives on the road!

The bus crash scene

45 people have lost their lives with only one survivor on a bus that crashed and fell off a bridge.

The survivor is an 8-year-old girl who is currently been taken to hospital to be treated to her sustained injuries.

As Easter holiday begins, thousands of Christians gather to their place of worship to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, this includes the members of the ZCC church who annually celebrate Easter at Moria, a place in the Limpopo province.

The 46 passengers were ZCC members travelling from Botswana to Moria, when according to the Ministor of Transport, the driver lost control of the bus while driving through a round bend. The bus then caught fire immediately after it crashed near Mamatlakala in the northeast province which is believed might have been from the gas stoves they had in preparation of their long weekend stay in Moria.

Bodies were burnt beyond recognition when rescue operation arrived, with some bodies trapped inside the debris.

The South African President has sent his condolences to the people of Botswana for their loss.
